Aprilia's Chaz Davies led the race day warm-up in Daytona SportBike class.
Jordan Suzuki’s Aaron Yates led Sunday morning’s American Superbike warm-up session. He put in a best lap of 1:25.399, which was marginally faster than pole-sitter and Rockstar Suzuki rider Mat Mladin. Mladin suffered a crash late in the session when he lost the front end of his GSX-R1000 in the final turn while circulating second fastest. He immediately picked up the bike and wheelied back on to the track to finish the session.

Corona Honda’s Neil Hodgson was third fastest, followed by his teammate Jake Holden. The Yamaha YZF-R1s of Josh Hayes and Ben Bostrom were fifth and sixth. With the top nine riders from the session only being one second apart, this afternoon’s 23-lap race will for sure be a bar banger, no doubt.

In the Daytona SportBike class it was Aprilia’s Chaz Davies who put in the fastest time aboard his Aprilia RSV1000R motorcycle. Yamaha’s Tommy Aquino was just a tenth of a second behind followed by M4 Suzuki’s Jason DiSalvo. Aquino’s senior teammate, Ben Bostrom, was next followed by pole-sitter and M4 Suzuki rider Martin Cardenas.
