MX Sports Mourns the Passing of Oscar Diaz

MX Sports Pro Racing, the producers of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, mourns the passing of professional motocross rider Oscar Diaz, who died in a tragic shooting over the weekend after a motocross event in Guatemala.
AMA Motocross

Diaz, originally of Costa Rica, worked his way through the amateur motocross system in the U.S.. He raced the annual Air Nautiques/AMA Amateur National Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch starting in 2005 and then worked his way through the Intermediate and Expert ranks. This year, Diaz turned pro and qualified for Michigan's Red Bud National in July.

MX Sports Pro Racing offers their condolences to Oscar's friends and family. He will be missed on and off the track.

A shooting at an MX race? WTH? I guess it was bound to happen! But why? Can we have more details on this story?
