The Yamaha Champions Riding School (YCRS), based at Miller Motorsports Park
in Tooele, Utah, is pleased to announce that it has renewed multi-year sponsorship agreements with Yamaha Motor Corporation USA and Dunlop Tire.
Yamaha has been the title sponsor of the school since its inception in 2009, and has not only provided the school’s fleet of Yamaha R6, R6S, FZ6R and FZ1 sport bikes, but has also supplied guest instructors who validate the use of the word “Champions” in the school’s name. Guest instructors have included such world-renowned racers as Scott “Mr. Daytona” Russell (1993 World Superbike Champion, 1992 AMA Superbike Champion and five-time Daytona 200 winner), Ben Spies (2009 World Superbike Champion, 2006-2008 AMA Superbike Champion) and Josh Hayes
(2010-2012 AMA Superbike Champion), among others.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Yamaha Champions Riding School,” said David Docktor, Yamaha Motorcycle Marketing Manager. “We believe the school provides the finest instruction on the planet and are so pleased to be a small part of their mission to make safer riders of all motorcyclists. Their 40-percent student return rate is a testament to the value of the experience and the school’s popularity has grown dramatically each year.”
Dunlop has sponsored the YCRS since 2010, and all school bikes are fitted with Dunlop’s Sportmax Q2 high-performance street/track tires, which allow students to experience the school to its fullest.
“Dunlop is proud to continue our sponsorship of the Yamaha Champions Riding School,” said Les Washbon of Dunlop Tire. “We have very high regard for the school’s record of safety and performance education, and we appreciate that the YCRS allows students to experience our first-class products at a world-class facility.”
“Yamaha and Dunlop
have been outstanding partners for the Yamaha Champions Riding School,” said John Larson, General Manager of Miller Motorsports Park, “and both have been an absolute pleasure to work with. We very much appreciate their ongoing support, as well as their great products, and we look forward to many great years together.”
“You couldn’t ask for better partners than Yamaha and Dunlop,” said YCRS Lead Instructor Nick Ienatsch. “We pride ourselves on making the Yamaha
Champions Riding School the best in the business, and in this business that means Yamaha and Dunlop. Both companies care very much about the safety of their customers, and they are actively involved in making the sport better.”
