Rok - Come on with some info!  December 14, 2010 08:09 PM
I'd REALLY like to see the Voyager demoed by a rider who was familiar with the Voyager's Vulcan predecessor. How about some Torque and horsepower impressions or at least a figure from an actual trip to the roller... How's it handle? Weight transfer (dive) a problem when on it and stopping hard?? What degree lean before hard part touchdown? Fuel MPG, Range on a tank of fuel, crusing speed, engine revs @ 70-80 Mph, tire sizes, max pound rating loaded two-up w/gear? This is stuff people who RIDE their bikes far and long need to know to make a reasonable/educated comparison. I still haven't forgiven Ma Kaw for dropping the shaft drive. While it might've made a few more rear wheel horse by them doing this, the shaft and final drive was a WINNER, as it WAS.
Tom G. - I can do dat.  February 11, 2010 05:50 PM
I'm going to Daytona for BIKE WEEK,to demo ride the Voyager. Send me B.Harleys next paycheck,I'll send a real review.
Tom G. - What the *&%*# ?  February 11, 2010 05:36 PM
You're Kidding Right? That was a test ride, sure would be nice if they let us know what they thought.I hope you don't pay that guy.
Steve - re:J. Thompson   July 3, 2009 09:28 PM
If you read the story on the mag web site it does tell un a little more. I can tell you that I have an 06 900 classic lt and love it. The biggest thing it lacked was it needed a 6th gear. It would cruise all day at 80 but you just feel like you need another gear. These new bikes all have alot of the 900 styling and the 1700 head and valve design as the 900. The voyager was both as a 1500 and 1600 a very nice bike. The thing I wanted to see was the old hippie ring that thing out. In the story he said he out of 1st at 45 into 3rd at 68. Thats what I wanted to see. And to you JT only a goldwing is a goldwing.
J. Thompson - 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager First Ride Video  June 30, 2009 02:17 PM
Nice video but not at all informative. How comfortable is the ride? Seat cushioning/thickness? Can you ride this bike for eight hours and not get beat up? How smooth is the metric V twin engine? Any mirror buzzing. Wind noise. How does the bike handle on the open 2-lane highway with Semi Trucks? Rear passenger seating comfort and amenities (my wife really needs to know this! Can't buy it unless she's going to be comfortable). Mileage? Sound level/comfort? Why the switch to carbon fiber belt for final drive? Creature comforts? After all this is supposed to be Kawasaki's top end LUXURY TOURING bike. Just give us the details and info.... Really want a good alternative to the Goldwing. Price is fair but is the Voyager even in the same class? I'm interestede in a reliable, safe, well built, COMFORTABLE, SMOOTH relatively quiet ride with good mileage and amenity options and is very affordable. Is this too much to ask? Maybe so...

well, kawasaki next time ask me to intro your new dresser, the tester sounds like he is on some kind of opiate. it would be nice if tires were discussed ,size and why kawi went with that size , tire brand name , how does that tire perform on with that bike. how does bike handle the country roads, ride quality, engine performance-we understand its a cruiser.final drive, brake performance, how does bike handle at highway speed - 80 is an average interstate speed.has kawi figured out how to make a fairing sheild without having to replace it after every ride due to scratches from cleaning, please teach harley. i often hear complaint's from touring riders that cleaning windsheild without damage is like learning to fiberglass repair a boat. whats the acceleration like from a slow roll , its nice to get on the highway without a truck running ya down, oh by the way i wouldnt give a 17000.00 motorcycle to be tested by a person who needs a hair cut and has slurred speach.

mountain rider - Vulcan first ride...  May 30, 2009 07:32 PM
The video did not say anything. It was nice to see the bikes on twisty roads, but fill me in on the ride. How did the bikes handle???? Was the change from shaft to belt drive a good thing???
