A buddy of mine had a similar katana. He bragged about the anti dive forks.Back then it did not get dissed & called a Kan of Tuna ,it was a respectable sport bike.I rode a 1978 ZR-1 (KZ 1000)non turbo.handled like s**t but was pretty fast for it's time.Brings back memories
Matthew C. - Not a factory racer or an 1135r  July 27, 2010 11:19 AM
It's a vintage 80's katana built by a racer named Ray in Southern CA. It's NOT an 1135r model, but it DOES have a lot of aftermarket performance parts.

This is a true classic in styling...maybe not handling, but it's styling never fades. Nice to seem someone make it bling worthy.
Rich - What it was ~ and kind of what it is...  July 21, 2010 06:43 AM
It was a Katana, but now it's a Wes Cooley look alike with a ton of of modern aftermarket goodies.

the great Suzuki Katana. Awesome bike no one wanted. Way ahead of its time.
Guy - Suzuki GSX1000SZ Katana factory racer  July 20, 2010 09:04 AM
If it is the “real deal”. That is a very rare, and expensive, 1981 Suzuki GSX1000SZ Katana production racing spec bike with 32mm slide carbs. (Not the 1981 GSX1100 SZ / SD Katana for sale to the general public. Which came with 34mm CV carbs.)
