Bubba Blackwell fails to clear 22 cars at Del Mar in 2001.

Legendary daredevil Bubba Blackwell has announced he will recreate his infamous attempt to break his own record for most cars jumped aboard a Harley-Davidson XR750 on June 12, 2010 at New Hampshire’s Rockingham Park.

Back in 2001, Blackwell spectacularly failed to clear 22 cars in an attempt to surpass his long-standing 20-car jump record from 1998. Blackwell hopes this year’s attempt to clear 22 Ford Focus cars will end in less spectacular fashion than seen in these photos from 2001.

Bubba who?? Leave the XR-750 jumping to the professional. Robbie Knievel will be doing it this summer in Europe. If you want to die and get recognition for it... Put yourself on fire ,then jump off the golden gate bridge.. I'll bet the fire goes out before the sharks get you.. what do you think???

This guy is stuck in 2001. Why would you try to jump anything on a harley is right, nonetheless ride one. Guys are jumping 300 feet on a motorcross bikes. This guy might make 75. The "who gives a crap/maybe we see him crash" factor should draw a crowd. He should step up the WOW factor and add a pool of crocodiles that he lands in and must escape from before being eaten alive. To me its a bigger pay off.

Those who don't learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them. I would say trying to jump a Harley over 22 anythings is a bad idea no matter what they pay you.

You could look at those photos and swear it was Evel. Similar bike, similar outfit, similar result. Poor XR-750. These bikes should be preserved not destroyed!
