BMW is holding pretty steady with 2012 sales, meanwhile its Italian brand Husqvarna has enjoyed 48% growth so far...
The BMW Group has released sales information for the first half of 2012. BMW’s motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad, couldn’t match its 2011 first half data. It’s Italian subsidiary Husqvarna, however, reports robust growth over last year’s numbers.

BMW Motorrad Down 2.3%

BMW Motorrad has sold 59,189 units through the first two quarters of 2012 – a 2.3% drop from 2011 (60,580). Having reported record sales figures in the opening months, BMW’s lag came in June where sales dropped 13.2% compared to the same period last year.

Despite the slight drop, BMW states in a press release announcing the sales data that: “BMW Motorrad is expecting stronger growth in the second half of 2012 and aims to achieve an overall sales record for the whole year.”

BMW’s motorcycle sales in 2011 are notable as the Bavarian manufacturer’s highest totals to date. Its record sales tallies exceeded 100,000 units worldwide, and surpassed the pre-recession totals achieved in 2007 – the previous record year for BMW.

Husqvarna Growth 48.3%

BMW’s subsidiary Husqvarna reports 48.3% growth in the first half of 2012. The company claims its sixth consecutive rise in deliveries. Compared to its German sibling, Husqvarna enjoyed a robust 81.1% increase year over year in June – delivering 815 units to dealers, compared to 450 vehicles in 2011. Through June Husqvarna is up 1705 units over last year’s totals at this time, with 5235 total.

@wildpig: seek professional help. Your incessant ranting against anything BMW are pathetic, and nonsensical. Sales numbers are publicly available figures, and required by auditing agencies. Besides, anyone who can not even spell the word "dumber" correctly, is hardly to be taken seriously.
