If the BMW R1200GS is not suitable to your liking French dealer Panda Moto can turn it into something quite spectacular in Super Moto style. Color changes see BMW’s competition red, blue and white livery make sure everyone knows it is different.

The wheels are changed for BMW R1200GS items, Ohlin’s suspension and six-pot brakes deal with the chassis. The engine gets ‘stroked’ and fitted with high compression pistons and a new free-breathing exhaust. A ceramic clutch replaces the standard, somewhat fragile, unit. Carbon fiber touches abound in a conversion that will cost in excess of £10,000 for the complete conversion; this is above the cost of the bike! 

BMW however, is producing a 500 special edition R1200GS machine to celebrate the half-million point in the GS models history. First produced in 1980 it is now on its way to the millionth machine as interest seems to continue unabated. The limited-edition machine will have a front fender extension, black oil cooler, tinted windshield, two-tone seat, black wheel rims, cylinder head protectors and a white paint scheme.
