Cool, calm and collected sums up Troy's riding style. Corser has earned the title Mr. Superpole (among other nicknames) due to his amazing qualifying performances in WSBK. After being discovered in the Australian SBK series in 1993 by Barry Sheene, he was offered a tryout with Fast By Ferracci Ducati, and the rest is history! Troy won the AMA title the following year and earned the right to take his place on the grid among the greatest racers the world has to offer in the WSBK Championship. The young Troy Corser honed his skills racing Motocross and dirt track before moving into the road racing arena by age 18. Born in Wollongong Australia, Troy is one of many great Aussie world champions.

Corser has raced for a number of marques, including a WSB Championship-winning stint with the Corona Suzuki squad, and less successful venture on the Foggy Petronas machine.

Aboard a Yamaha Motor Italia R1 the 37-year-old Australian was looking to rebound from a disappointing 2006 season, which saw him lose the Number 1 plate to his rival, Troy Bayliss. In fact, 2006 didn't just see Corser lose his title, he suffered a whole string of bad luck, which included multiple crashes and a bout of the chickenpox. The bad luck for Corser carried into 2007, where he had multiple crashes and saw his championship fortunes slide further back to a fifth-place result.

BMW signed Corser for 2009 to pilot the S1000RR alongside Ruben Xaus, but the team struggled as they learned the characteristics of the new machine. For 2010 Corser further refined the BMW, and finished the series 11th overall after claiming two podiums.

For the third year in a row Corser campaigned for the BMW Motorrad Motorsport team in 2011, but alongside a new teammate, Leon Haslam. Though showing the occasional flash of his old form, Corser was unable to get the BMW into a consistent threat. After a 15th-place finish in the 2011 series, the two-time World Superbike champion decided to hang up the leathers and retire.
