The CB1000R will retail for $10,999, arriving in Spring 2011.
American Honda has announced pricing for its much-anticipated CBR250R. The entry-level single-cylinder sportbike will retail for $3999. The price is identical to the MSRP listed for the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. The ABS version of the CBR250R will fetch an extra $500.

Honda also announced pricing for the CB1000R naked at $10,999. Known as the Hornet in Europe, the new-to-the-U.S. CB1000R retails for $400 to $500 more than its traditional rivals – the Kawasaki Z1000 ($10,599) and Yamaha FZ1 ($10,490).

Both new Honda models are expected to hit dealer floors in Spring of 2011.

HONDA, 'leads the way' once again with the amazing new 2011 HONDA CBR250R, 'an affordable, smart, capable and fun way to enjoy life on two wheels'. Your choice, sparkling black or at no additional cost a very handsome red/silver color combination. The digital/analog instrument panel even includes a clock , and there is underseat storage beneath the passenger seat. Bursting with precision, sophistication, refinement and cutting-edge technology the new 2011 Honda CBR250R is sure to please beginning and experienced riders alike. The Honda CBR250R will provide precision and accuracy in steering and braking thanks to its radial ply tires and anti-lock brakes, very economical operation thanks to its 6 speed transmission, fuel injection and liquid cooled single cylinder engine and great looks with its full fairing, ultra-glossy red/black color combination and glittering silver color mag wheels. The combined ABS feature adds a third piston to the front brake caliper so when the rear brake is applied , modulated/proportional braking from the front comes into play(even if the lever is not pulled), adding immeasureably to rider confidence and control. The year 2011 will be remembered for an over-achiever, the excellent Honda CBR250R....the inaugural year 2011 will become a collectors item! Thank you HONDA for bringing to market an incredible motorcycle at a price within reach of every motorcycle enthusiast!

While doing a comparo test between Honda and Kawasaki, it is fun to include Aprila RS4 125, too.

Can't wait for a comparo of the CB1000R, Z1000, and FZ1! And when is Yamaha planning to update the FZ1? Wasn't it all new for 2006?

Its pretty sweet that Honda matched the price of the Kawi 250, considering the Honda has fuel injection. I'm guessing when the fuel injected ninja 250 comes out it will be more expensive than this Honda.

That's because its built in Thailand.
T.T -Kawi will bring the fuel injected model now  December 1, 2010 05:13 PM
that's the only thing holding back the Ninja 250R. very happy with all of this competition, let's see a comparo between the Ninja CBR and Hyosung GT250R!

Ninja 250 still makes more HP ,top speed and looks better than CBR250R
HokieNinja -Competitive Price  December 1, 2010 11:59 AM
Same price as Ninja 250R + Fuel Injection + Honda build quality = Checkmate

It's funny how Honda charges $7,199 for it's CRF250R, but asks only $3,999 for its street going 250.
