World Superbike Champ Ben Spies Talks

It’s hard to imagine that up until yesterday, in the 20 years the World Superbike Championship has been running, Yamaha has never won a World Championship. This of course all changed when its rookie rider, Ben Spies pulled it off aboard his newly redesigned 2009 Yamaha YZF-R1. Valentino Rossi Madness in Italy

Greetings all, it’s full-on Valentino Rossi madness here in Italy, as the country is seemingly on a national holiday after their boy just won his ninth roadracing Grand Prix title. Every newspaper you pickup has literally eight and sometimes ten full pages dedicated to the man from Tavullia. It’s absolutely fascinating how serious Italians take their motorbike racing. Imagine newly crowned 2009 World Superbike champ Ben Spies receiving that kind of coverage in the L.A. Times.

RSD and FMF in Red Bull Soap Box Race

Recently custom motorcycle and accessory manufacturer, Roland Sand Design and powersports exhaust builder FMF teamed up for the Red Bull Soapbox Race. The race is held at different cities throughout the world and this time Los Angeles, California was the venue of choice. Over 100,000 people crowded the streets of downtown L.A. for their chance to see these guys rip around their No. 32 DeLorean Soapbox car. Check out the video below for some laughs and see how they did.
