Jacksonville Supercross Racing Notes
Saturday, March 19, 2011
Greetings and salutations, I’m here in north Florida with Assistant Editor, Matt Davidson reporting from Round 11 of the Monster Energy Supercross
series. Tonight EverBank Stadium, home of the Jaguars NFL team will host the race. This is the third time the city of Jacksonville has held a Supercross race and believe it or not this is one of the better venues on the calendar.
As usual, the weather is perfect with sunny skies and temperatures hovering in the 80s during the day and 70s at night with a pleasant touch of humidity. Similar to Indianapolis, the EverBank stadium is located with a mile of downtown bars and restaurants so there is always plenty to do before and after the race. As you can see from the picture below downtown Jacksonville is absolutely gorgeous at night. See more photos in in the 2011 Supercross Jacksonville Photo Gallery
Last night we chatted with some of the riders in the 2011 AMA Supercross Jacksonville Notes
feature and everyone seems pretty fired up for gates to drop at 7:30 p.m. tonight. If you’ve haven’t already selected your rider line-up in our Fantasy SX 2011 Racing Game
make sure to do it right now. In the Supercross class I think James Stewart is finally going to get a win. Ryan Villopoto will finish runner-up and I’m going to pick Chad Reed for third. In the Lites division, Ryan Sipes is pretty much guaranteed to win. Blake Baggett will finish second and Wilson will grab the final podium spot. Make sure to check out the MotoUSA Twitter
account for real-time updates of what’s happening at the track!
