Motorcycle journalism certainly has its perks: For us there’s nothing better than riding the latest and greatest motorcycles at amazing locations all across the country. But what if you faithful Motorcycle USA readers could experience a day in our boots for one day? Even better, what if you could choose your own motorcycle adventure? That’s just what Motorcycle USA reader, Ryan Shough from San Francisco, California did.
 
Ryan won Motorcycle USA’s Ultimate Kawasaki Adventure Getaway. Out of all the ideas we dreamt up he chose to fly out with yours truly to Keith Code’s California Superbike School held at Virginia International Raceway near Danville, Virginia. We fitted him with some new track riding gear from the folks over at Joe Rocket and hit VIR’s 2.25-mile North Course for some fun aboard 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6Rs.

Having just wrapped up the first day I’ve got to give a big thanks to our winner for selecting this awesome adventure as VIR is one of the most fun road race tracks I’ve ever gotten a chance to ride at. We’ve got one more day around its roller coaster like road course so stay tuned for a full report on how Shough’s adventure went and on the California Superbike School to see if it’s right for you.
