Motorcycle Road Racing with WERA

This past weekend we raced our newly assembled
Honda CBR600RR project racer with the
WERA Motorcycle Roadracing club at Southern California’s Auto Club Speedway. WERA is one of America’s longest running race clubs and it shows in how well orchestrated its races are. From practice, to the rider’s meeting, and of course, the actual racing—it all went off perfectly on schedule and there wasn’t any drama in the form of strange technical rules or overzealous tech inspectors. I was also pleasantly surprised the level of competition, professionalism and camaraderie of many of the racers. If you’re looking to experience the thrill of road racing there are two more events left: Road Atlanta on October 7 and Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 3 and 4.
