Ducati Releases New Street Bike Motorcycle
Thursday, June 25, 2009
Yes, you’ve read correctly. After recently releasing the
2010 Ducati Streetfighter, the folks over at Ducati are cranking out another all-new machine and it's making its debut on Independence Day during the
2009 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
At this point, the facts are hard to come by but what we do know is that it’s going to be powered by a liquid-cooled V-Twin engine. Ducati currently has exactly four engines from the Multistrada, Streetfighter, 848 and 1198 Superbikes that fit the bill and could be used in this new motorcycle.
There is some speculation that the new machine will be a high-performance cruiser which Ducati officials adamantly deny. And since Ducati already has both the sportbike and street bike markets covered, we can only assume that the bike they’re going to release is going to be a high-performance sport touring machine. One that can possibly fill the hard core performance void left by Ducati’s only current touring option, the Multistrada.
