Troy Lee Designs Races with REM Motocross
Monday, April 8, 2013
In support of grassroots racing the folks at Troy Lee Designs paid a visit to California’s Glen Helen Raceway to race with the REM Saturday Motocross
club. The club has been operating for 15 years holding races on most Saturdays (aside from holidays) on the smaller scale course adjacent to the looming national track. The course features steep uphills and fast downhills plus the layout changes every few months to keep things fresh and exciting. The atmosphere is always laidback and while everyone wants to finish the day No. 1 no one is trying to kill each (well, most of the time) and it’s a fun way to get some exercise and have some laughs on a Saturday afternoon. Whether you ride a brand new 450 four-stroke or a ‘70s-era two-stroke there is a class to compete in with each race costing just $40, with REM members saving $5. Check out a few photos from the event:

Racing with REM is a good way to gain some valuable racing experience, plus it is fun, inexpensive.
Former pro and current KTM Sales Manager Kevin Foley came out to bang bars at Glen Helen.
Jesse Nelson works at refining his race craft in preparation for the resumption of the West Coast Supecross series.
Justin Jones, son of ’72 AMA 250cc Gary Jones was looking smooth. Justin currently competes in the WORCS series.
Christian Craig also showed his support for REM Motocross and is preparing to re-join the 250 SX series in Seattle.
