Friday, July 24, 2009
Every year an increasing amount of military man and women are dying at the controls of their motorcycle. In fact, last year there were a record 126 motorcycle fatalities amongst the four branches of the U.S. armed services.
Think about it. Young people join the military and get assigned all across the world with most of their expenses paid. Then when they return home to the States they’ve saved up some cash, and, being that they’re still young and have a sense of adventure they purchase a motorcycle. Unfortunately some of these new riders don’t get the proper training which creates a situation in which they can fall victim to their new hobby.
The folks over at Semper Ride are looking to help reduce the amount of military motorcyclist fatalities and injuries through a new film titled Semper Ride. The film features riding tips and general insight from expert riders, including
James Stewart,
Ben Bostrom, Ronnie Renner, Myles Richmond, Tommy Clowers, and Jeremy McGrath, all whom hail from a variety of motorcycling disciplines. Check out the video trailer below.
