i love how a PROFESSIONAL RACER goes out and rides on the street in a t-shirt and shorts. nicky even said at the end of the video that he was scared because there were cars around and junk. you'd think that since he is required to wear full leathers and gear on the track that he'd at least be smart enough to wear a pair of pants and maybe a jacket riding on the street. i've done trackdays, and i've gone down a couple of times on the street, and i'll be the first to say that riding on the street is far more dangerous than riding on the track. you won't catch me riding in just a t-shirt and shorts.

but i guess those guys think they're invincible and maybe that's why most of the time they get hurt a lot worse doing stupid every day stuff than they do riding at 180mph in a race.

and as far as the bike goes, i'd much rather have an 848 over an 1198 any day.

You're holding the fort until Casey comes back, and you got on the podium at your home race, you're finishing better every time you go out and you're finally getting a chassis setup together that suits you and helps you. By any reasonable standard (and I'm an Aussie and a big Stoner fan) you're doing a really good job. So they gave you what? The top of the line item? 1198s? Nah... have the little one. Get used to it. They figure after racing a Desmocedici you can't handle the power of an 1198? Or is it that the buggers are sitting in the showrooms, and they want to say to the prospective buyer, "Look, they're not the low end option - see? The Kentuck kid rides one!" Mike
