Yamaha Champions Motorcycle School

Friday, October 02, 2009

Looking to up your pavement game? Yamaha Champions School can help. They’ve got a fleet of brand-new 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6s for students to pilot.
It’s crazy to think that nearly a year has passed since Freddie Spencer’s High Performance Riding School closed its doors. Just a few months prior, I was fortunate to have attended and received my first taste of formal motorcycling education. And what an experience! (You can read the review here.) Prior to that, I distinctly remember having reached a plateau in my racetrack riding abilities. Amazingly, the instructors from Freddie’s school changed all that by teaching me proper riding technique enabling me to not only lap faster, but safer and in more control than before.

Upon learning that Spencer’s school was shutting down, I was sad to see such an effective school would be no more…or so I thought. Turns out the two instructors that were instrumental in Freddie’s successful program have teamed up with Miller Motorsports Park and Yamaha to bring us the all-new Yamaha Champions School.

Having just returned from the 2-day Graduate School program, earlier this week, I’m in awe of how these guys turned an excellent school into something even better. The curriculum has been tweaked to give riders even more track time aboard its fleet of brand-new 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycles. Plus the level on instruction is even higher and more focused than ever before. If you’re looking for a way to take your riding to the next level, then you have to check out this new school.
