Deals on Remaining 2008 Honda CBR1000RRs

Wednesday, January 6, 2010
At 11 599 the 2008 Honda CBR1000RR is a steal.
If you’re looking to experience Honda superbike ownership, now is definitely the time.
Yesterday, I posted a blog on how awesome Honda’s current-generation CBR1000RR is. So amazing in fact that it was our Sportbike of the Year two years in a row! Learn what other machines were the best of the best in 2009 in our Motorcycle USA Best of 2009 Awards article.

American Honda alerted us that it’s running some killer deals on remaining 2008 Honda CBR1000RR inventory. How good you ask? With its current Bonus Bucks promotion you can roll out of your dealership with a brand-new Honda superbike for $9099 (plus tax, title, and license). That’s $2500 off retail price!

Furthermore, a shrewd buyer might be able to negotiate an even more favorable price depending on dealer inventory, etc. If you’re in the market for a brand-new liter-class superbike, there has never been a better time to experience the performance, quality, and reliability that is CBR sportbike ownership. Check out our Dealer Locator to find a Honda dealership near you.

“Furthermore, a shrewd buyer might be able to negotiate an even more favorable price depending on dealer inventory, etc” A truly shrewd buyer would just buy one used and save lots of money because even with $2500 or more of a discount you will still be taking a bath when you can find used ones for only $8500 or less. And since the bike is already two years old sitting on the sales floor its not like you are getting a new bike anyways. So what if a used one has a few miles on it these bikes run forever and will be superseded in a few years. Retail is for suckers.

Maybe there isn't such a market for a motorcycle that exceeds most people's skill's at quarter throttle in any gear” Maybe but I also see lots of non-current Shadow 750s laying around, VFR800s and many other models without 150 hp not selling.
