The Motorcycle for Daytona Bike Week

Wednesday, March 04, 2009
The key to a good time anywhere you go is simply riding the right bike. And while we all know sportbikes are for fast thrills at the racetrack, motocross bikes for humongous dirt jumps, when it comes to cruising the boulevard during Daytona Bike Week, if you’re not on a bad-ass bobber, than you’re missing out.

Don’t get me wrong I still really dig raked-out Choppers like OCC’s original, but in terms of shear riding enjoyment, it doesn’t get much better than a big-power, short wheelbase bobber. Its classic styling is absolutely transcends time. And with its shorter wheelbase, more normal chassis geometry and just the right amount of suspension it not only glides over the road, but provides a very intimate ride that few other motorcycle category’s can duplicate.

And for the times you’re feeling feisty, twist that throttle and the 90-cubic inch engine inside of OCC’s Greenie bobber comes alive right away. There’s plenty of power to light up the rear tire from a stop light or even coming out of a slow turn which makes me feel like I imagine the ‘Fonz would have felt.

Thuggn' like the Fonz aboard OCC's Greenie bobber.

Desmolicious - Nice boots!  March 5, 2009 04:44 PM
Ya couldn't get a pair of engineer boots (or some Vans) to complete the look? Oh, and nice way to give the finger to the cameraman!
