The Best Form of Motorcycle Racing?

Friday, March 06, 2009
When it comes to stadium motorcycle racing nothing beats flat track. The intimacy of a small municipal stadium like Daytona’s brings me back to the days of High School football. Inside the characters you run into are equally as entertaining. Handlebar mustaches, flannel jackets and wallet chains are all common place. Many indulge with a tall can of brew and a full tin of chew.

For maximum sensory appeal, sit right up front so you can experience the teeth-rattling noise as a pack of Single cylinder motorcycles fly by—with only a chain-link fence and a couple of feet separating you from the racing. Some might be annoyed as pellets of dirt fall onto your head as a pack of riders go by, but for me it only adds to the experience.
The racing itself is short, sweet and intense.

Big crashes, gnarly passes and non-stop bar-banging action are pretty much guaranteed, which is perfect for a motorcycle racing fan with a short attention span like myself. Without a doubt if you’re looking to experience an entertaining motorcycle race, flat track won’t disappoint.

When it comes to stadium motorcycle racing nothing beats flat track. Sure. That's why you see 60.000 plus fans at all flattrack races and supercross stands are always empty. And round and round they go.... left, left and left turn ...just like Nascrap.
