2011 Yamaha Raptor 125 Riding Impression

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

For 2011, Yamaha introduces its all-new $3399 Raptor 125 sport quad specifically designed for smaller and/or beginner riders. Stay tuned for the full report coming soon.
Greetings all, last week our friend Melissa Paris tested the all-new 2011 Yamaha Raptor 125 ATV. This sport quad is the newest addition to Yamaha’s four-wheeled line-up and is designed for younger riders and/or beginners who are looking to hit the trails and experience the thrill of ATV riding. Here’s what she had to say after riding it:

“Hi all, I just finished trying out Yamaha’s all-new Raptor 125 sport quad up in Ventura, California. The folks at Yamaha figured it was time someone made a proper entry-level sport quad and they delivered in a big way. Accordingly, Motorcycle-USA decided to send me... someone with ZERO quad experience to try the thing out.”

“I have to admit, at first I was a little intimidated. I mean, the Raptor 125 looks serious. But from the instant I hit the start button and dropped it into gear, it was nothing but fun. Whether you’re a first-timer like myself, or a pro like Dustin Nelson (who was in attendance to show us how to really ride) the Raptor 125 has the fun department covered.”

“The quad fit my 5’5” frame perfectly, but it seems like it was pretty comfortable for everyone except the really tall crowd. I was thankful that the 125cc engine was tame enough to be beginner friendly, but even more stoked that it had enough power to keep being fun after I got the hang of it. I couldn’t quite keep up with the more experienced guys, but the suspension components borrowed from the Raptor 250 helped save me when I got in over my head!”

Sounds like Melissa had some serious fun which is cool considering that the new machine only costs $3399. Stay tuned for the full report coming soon…
