Triumph Announces Special Edition Models

Friday, March 01, 2013
Triumph will soon offer Special Edition models of two of the most popular bikes in its line-up, the Bonneville and Speed Triple. Both rides will be available through U.S. dealers May 1, 2013. The Bonneville SE will retail at $7,999, marking a $300 bump over the asking price of the standard version, while the Speed Triple SE rings in at $13,399, $600 more than the base-line model.

The Bonneville SE comes with a red frame and sports a Cranberry Red and Matte Black color scheme. New front indicators were lowered to sit just beneath the new headlight, sourced from the Thruxton. New black side-view mirrors match up nicely with the matte black finish. The bike also gets a pillion grab rail and ‘bash plate’ as well as an updated seat design with new stitching and vinyl covering.

The Speed Triple SE comes with a blue frame and swingarm, blue pinstriped wheels, and a Matte Graphite, Matte Blue color scheme. To reduce weight, the Speed Triple SE has a carbon fiber front mudguard, side pods, tank cover and inner radiator panels. A fly screen is included on the SE model, as is a new belly pan and rubber tank pad. The clutch, alternator cover and sprocket cover were all restyled as well. Side-view mirrors are more angular than the standard Speed Triple, and the handlebars, silencer heat shields and clamps have been blacked-out.
