Victory Motorcycles gets the jump on everybody with a 2015 early release model, the 2015 Gunner. Little details were offered up beyond that it will be a bobber-style motorcycle obviously powered by the company's Freedom 106 V-Twin.
Actor R. Lee Ermey has been enlisted as a Victory spokesperson for a couple years now. The affable “Gunny” has brought along the brash demeanor he portrayed as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in “Full Metal Jacket” to his role of representing the American V-Twin motorcycle manufacturer. The former Marine drill instructor not only talks the talk, he walks the walk, too, because he’s a pretty mean motorcycle rider. We know after getting to be his wingman at Sturgis
a couple summer’s back.
Apparently Victory Motorcycles
is continuing to source that type of tough-as-nails persona for the title of its newest motorcycle, the 2015 Gunner. The company released some teaser info about its latest creation today, providing little hard data beyond that it will be their version of a “bobber.” The only photo released is of its horn cover mounted between the jugs of its proprietary Freedom 106 V-Twin. Mounting the company’s 1731cc powerplant within the frame rails of a motorcycle that’s been pared down to the essentials is an exciting prospect. We’ll have to wait and see to what degree Victory did indeed make it a bobber.
We do know it’s one of the first early release 2015 models around. Look for a full report on the 2015 Victory Gunner February 8th as more details are released. Until then, get down and give us 20, maggots!
