Thursday, February 05, 2009

Victory Motorcycles stands by its craftsmanship and is offering an industry-leading five year warranty on its 2009 lineup.
Victory Motorcycles is offering the motorcycle industry’s only full-line, five-year limited warranty and it’s available on all new Victory Motorcycles through its national dealer network. Featuring a total cost of ownership that is 22% less than the cost of the segment leader over a five- year period; Victory Motorcycles are not only attractive on the road, but built to ride for many worry-free miles. Low-maintenance, high- horsepower and enduring reliability have been the backbone of the Victory Motorcycle brand for a decade. With more than 50,000 Victory Motorcycles sold, the brand has proven itself in the marketplace and is poised for continued growth.

The industry’s only full-line 5-year limited warranty available on all new Victory Motorcycles. The offer is valid only in the United States and Canada, and does not apply to prior purchases. The five-year coverage consists of 48 months POLARISTAR ESC coverage in addition to the Victory 12-month Factory Limited Warranty for a total of 5 Years. I own a 2003 H-D Road King Classic with 150,000 (s)miles on it. I purchased an extended (5-year) warranty when I bought the bike in January of 2003. The cost added $1,200 to the purchase price, plus tax. I have had a few claims under the extended service plan and have received nearly $6,000 worth of repairs, all for just the the $50 deductable out-of-pocket for each claim. A GREAT deal in my book! Whether I purchase another Harley or buy a Victory, the extended service plan offers me so much peace of mind I'll certainly include it in the deal unless I find Victory's doesn't match up to the Harley one I'm familiar with. Harley's includes towing, lodging reimbursement, rental vehicle reimbursement, and can even cover wheel and tire issues in addition to the general engine and power-train coverage. Jim's comment (above) gives me a compelling reason to read and compare the two extended service plans! Due your own due diligence....

I had reviewed just about everything blog and comment I could find about Victory motorcycles as I had seriously considered making the tour model my next motorcycle purchase. This all changed once I actually read the warranty fine print and starting researching customer warranty problems. PLEASE READ that Warranty. They can deny almost any claim. Owners having to fight with dealers to get obvious problems covered! Although I really like this bike, warranty is worthless if they won't honor it. Don't take my word for it check it out yourself. Just my 23 cents worth (adjusted for inflation).

I own a HD Road Guide Screeming Eagle and i justr bought a Vivtory Virsion Street. I hope that for the money this bike will not let me down. It would be nice if more dealers closer to where we live was a vailabel. Also if there was some way to attach a REAR LUGGAGE RACK. One that you did't have to have a rear back rest to attach it. Keep up the good work and you will soon out sale HD.

I bought a 2008 Victory Vegas Low from Ed Walters. It only had 100.4 miles when I boought the bike. It still had the break-in oil. How do I go about transferring the warranty?
Rob -This should apply to all M.C manufacturers  April 10, 2009 08:35 PM
As a owner of three HD's (one a 1951 and runs great) it was great to see another American manufacturer making a quality product w/ thier own V-twin thats not a Harley clone. Given that current state of the Economy you would think that all M.C manufacturers would fall in line w/ Polaris with this. Lets face it, they are all putting out quality products. They have to in order to survive in the marketplace. I just purchased a rebuilt Indian Powerplus 100 for my next project and my next new bike purchase is most likely going to be a Victory 8 Ball. The Harleys of course will never leave my garage!

That is a great deal! A $50 deductible is nothing since most motorcycle shops charge more than that for one hour of labor! Let's see you know who (H-D) follow this lead. I'm betting they won't!
