Miller Motorsports Park - Yamaha
If you're headed to Stevenson, Washington, this weekend for the Sound Rider Rally, be sure to catch up with Nick Ienatsch, Lead Instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School based at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Nick will be the guest speaker at the rally and has scheduled several clinics that go hand-in-hand with the Rally’s interest in rider improvement.

The Yamaha Champions Riding School teaches on a race track, but street riders have flooded to the school in its first four years.

“It’s easy to think the Yamaha Champions Riding School is only a racing school, but that couldn't be further from the truth,” said Rob Nish of Miller Motorsports Park. “The skills, philosophies and approaches we teach are even more important for street riders to master, because the risk factor in street riding is much higher than track-only riding. That’s why Nick takes part in the Sound Rider Rally and other street-based events. Yes, we get a lot of racers and track-day riders, but about 50 percent of our students are street riders.”

This will be Ienatsch’s second appearance at The Sound Rider Rally, which will take place August 1-5 in the Columbia River Gorge.

“Tom Mehren and the guys who put on this rally are intent on improving the skills of their participants, and that’s my passion as well,” Ienatsch said. “I hope riders can find some time to sit in on my clinics; this sport is extremely simple when you look past all the verbiage and lip-flapping. As the pace increases or the grip decreases, everything we teach at the Yamaha Champions Riding School counts even more. I tell people this: ‘If I can do it, you can do it. And here’s how.’”

Find Nick at the Sound Rider Rally and then visit him and his amazing crew at Miller Motorsports Park for one of the best motorcycling experiences of your life: The Yamaha Champions Riding School.
