Minnesota-based manufacturer and will be decked to the nines for performance and comfort.
“Off-road racing is incredible proving grounds for our machines and Polaris has been working closely with one of the premier off-road racing teams, Jagged X, for a number of years,” said Donna Beadle, Polaris Off-Road Racing Team Manager. “Last year, for the introduction of the RZR XP 4 900, Jagged X raced a nearly-stock car for the Best in the Desert Series. The successful season, which included five podiums in six races, showed the capability of the unit, provided a whole new customer solution and is the inspiration for the RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition.”
Based on Jagged X’s race winning philosophy of using a RZR XP4 for a two-seat racecar, the RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition uses the chassis from an XP4 for more

stability and smoothness with just two seats for more legroom and less weight. Premium Walker Evans 2.5-inch body shocks are mated to the rear suspension for a better ride in the rough stuff. Other standard chassis features include electronic power steering, a custom cab frame, factory installed full-height doors and five-point harness-ready PRP seats. Dual, removable cargo boxes reside behind the adjustable driver seat and stationary passenger seat. Power is put to the ground through Maxxis Bighorn tires that are wrapped around Walker Evans beadlock wheels. Finally, Jagged X graphics complete the visual transformation of the limited edition side-by-side.
“We’re very excited to offer the Jagged X Edition which provides a whole new customer solution featuring the most popular options straight from the factory,” said Craig Scanlon, general manager, Recreational Off-Road Vehicles for Polaris. “This vehicle is the most complete RZR ever built, combining the ultimate in performance, comfort and incredible styling.”
Polaris didn’t stop with the chassis improvements on the RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition, pumping up the 875cc ProStar 900 parallel Twin’s output to 94 horsepower. Internal changes include new intake and exhaust cam profiles and stiffer valve springs. Then the engine calibration was modified and a stainless steel SLP exhaust with dual outlets was fitted. To cope with the added horsepower, Polaris also updated the clutch system with new weights for better acceleration that will match the smaller and shorter RZR XP 900 and is 17% quicker from 0-60 mph than the four-seat RZR XP4 900.
Priced at $21,999, the RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition will be available in late January in very limited numbers. We will be getting our butts in the seats next week when we attend the Camp RZR event in Glamis, California. Stay tuned for a full review in the coming weeks.
