More Teasers of Suzuki Middle-Class Model

Tuesday, June 21, 2011
Suzuki officially released yet more teaser shots of its upcoming model, the ambiguously named “New Middle-Class” (AKA 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650). No major revelations were to be found in the latest shots, a pair of blurry statics. The “new” ride still appears to be a modest refresh of the company’s V-Strom 650.

Suzuki's fourth installment of teaser shots for its "New Middle-Class" model reveals a revamped half-fairing for the apparent V-Strom 650.

The latest pics reveal a redesigned half-fairing configuration compared to the current 2011 Wee-Strom. The “New Middle-Class” sports what look like cooling fins on a lower half fairing that shroud the radiator. Suzuki tweaks the upper half of the bodywork too, the headlight seemingly flatter than the tall, slender lamps on the current Strom. Turn signals have also been relocated, now below the lamps.

After a closer (albeit blurry) look at the front end, the rolling chassis appears entirely unchanged from the V-Strom 650. The conventional forks and non-radial-mount brakes look identical to us. But then this is all speculation, as we peons grope for more knowledge and actual details regarding the new Suzuki.

The latest Suzuki teasers for the "New Middle-Class" ride appear to be the same old V-Strom 650, with a modest styling refresh.

Expect more news on the “New Middle-Class” soon, or at least as soon as the rabble is deemed ready to feed at the PR trough. And if it is more teaser pics, by all means make them extra blurry, because, you know, consumers like it when manufacturers play aloof and all hard to get…

UPDATE: The “New Middle-Class” from Suzuki is indeed the 2012 V-Strom 650 ABS. In the midst of the orchestrated slow tease from Suzuki, it seems an actual authentic leak of the new ride appeared earlier today on the Global Suzuki website (link to Suzuki site no longer functions but a YouTube video rolls through the leaked V-Strom 650 ABS shots). Check back for the First Look details soon to come.

correction.....I can't agree more

I can agree with you guys more. Enough is enough. Show the bike, and stop trying to copy Triumph with the teasers. It's probably gona be a good bike. To Suzuki: just keep it under $8500.00 and I'm interested....even without the hype.

It's concerning when a motorcycle company is putting more effort into their advertisements than the developement of their products. If they have to go through this much effort to hype up a motorcycle then that means it's not unique enough to generate any interest based on it's design merits alone.

YEP! Just as I called it!! It's the same ol' Wee-Strom with some new plastics... Great bike but it could be SOOO much more than it is. The platform has the ability to blow away the BMW F800GS and the new Triumph 800XC. (sigh) If only Suzuki had applied itself they might have beat the competition hands down. And I agree, enough with the silly mocked spy shots! It's STUPID! Just show us the dang bike!!
