Rider: Aaron Gobert
Nickname: Azza, The Comeback Kid
Nationality: Australian
Team: Goberts Motorsport Yamaha
Machine: Yamaha R6 (#96)
Born: November 7, 1980 in Sydney, Australia
Aaron Gobert is the brother of the infamous Go-Show. Born in Australia and imported to the US to become a profesional road racer in 2001, Gobert has had success here in the states. After an impressive 6th place finish in the 2001 AMA Formula Xtreme championship he gained experience over the next few years that led him to the 2004 AMA Superstock title with Yamaha.

Gobert won the 2004 AMA Superstock championship after working his way back to fitness, following injuries from a serious fall at Daytona two years earlier. To that end, Gobert scored six podiums in all, never finishing lower then seventh all season long. At the last race, at Virginia International Raceway, the pressure peaked with Gobert holding only a seven-point lead over teammate Jamie Hacking and competitor Tommy Hayden. With the pressure on, Gobert used his smarts to finish a controlling fourth, securing the championship.
