The Sturgis Buffalo Chip, known worldwide as the Best Party Anywhere, announced today that the Classic Rock band Boston is joining the line up of confirmed artists performing at the Buffalo Chip during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Boston, who got their name from the band member’s hometown, exploded on the music scene in 1976 with their self-titled Grammy nomination for “Best New Artist” album. Since then, Boston has sold more than 30 million albums, establishing itself as one of rock music’s biggest acts with numerous chart topping hits, such as “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” “Rock and Roll Band,” “Don’t Look Back” and many others.
“Classic Rock has always and will always be a standard at the Buffalo Chip,” said Rod Woodruff, owner of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Boston is a great band that represents one of the best eras in music. We could not be more pleased that they are joining the Chip family of concert performers during the 2012 Sturgis rally.”

Tom Scholz, Gary Pihl and the other members of Boston will be rockin' the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip Aug. 7 during Sturgis 2012.
Boston, with their unique one of a kind sound, will perform their classic hits on Tuesday August 7th, 2012 in the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s famous natural amphitheater. Boston joins a growing list of legendary and contemporary entertainers that include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band, with many more 2012 Sturgis rally concerts and headline performers to be announced soon.
