Taber Nash of Nash Motorcycle Co. will be taking over the retail location of Perri Ink Cartel on Melrose in Hollywood. Taber is assuming control of the business after operating his motorcycle shop in the back of the store.
Taber takes over for friend and former owner Nick Perri who will continue to sell his custom-made guitars and accessories online.
The Perri Ink Cartel
, a lifestyle destination on Melrose in Hollywood that sells custom guitars, American-made clothes, and serves as a tattoo parlor, bike shop and motorcycle parts distributor, will soon be changing up its business model. Proprietor Nick Perri and his wife Misi will return to selling Nick’s handmade guitars online exclusively while Taber Nash of the Nash Motorcycle Co
. will take over the retail store.
“We are excited to share that our dearest friend Taber Nash (of Nash Motorcycle Co.) will be taking over the retail store where the Perri Ink Cartel
is located now, and he will be keeping it a motorcycle / tattoo shop. We couldn't be more excited for his expansion and we sincerely wish him the very best. It is also wonderful that our tattoo artists will still have a home, and we are very happy Taber was able to help make that happen,” wrote Nick.
Taber has been operating the Nash Sickle Garage in the back of the store since it opened, so the transition should occur smoothly. Taber relocated from the Nash Motorcycle garage in Vancouver, Washington, to begin the business venture in West Hollywood. Adam Daniel and Jared Eugene have been inking bodies inside the Cartel for some time and it should be business as usual for them as well.
As for Nick and Misi, they will concentrate on continuing to establish their brand online. According to Nick, almost 90% of their business was already done over the internet, so focusing their attention where the majority of their sales are makes good sense. The Perris will continue to manufacture and sell custom guitars, guitar accessories and merchandise. Nick has recently reunited with members of his band Silvertide for a series of gigs and will still be a prominent fixture on the music scene.
“We will be debuting a brand new website and online store in conjunction with the new physical changes next month. Perri Ink isn't going anywhere. We're just shape-shifting back to a simpler model, and as always, you can still expect quality American-Made products from us. We have lots of new custom guitars and basses on the way, and other exciting product releases slated for debut in the near future. Our door is always open for future collaborations as well, so please stay in touch,” concluded Nick.
