Works Connection Skid Plate Photo Gallery
If nothing else, four years of college taught me one very important lesson - always, I mean always, use protection. Check out our
Works Connection Skid Plate Review
Installing the WC components was as simple as we could have hoped for. Six bolts and we were ready to rock.
Hardware for motocross bikes comes in separate pieces as opposed to a fully encasing combination skid plate for enduro bikes.
The engine guards were held in place by a single bolt on each. We kept an eye on them but they never came loose and didn’t shift position, even after taking direct hits.
It’s recommended to put Loctite on the skid plate bolts to ensure everything stays nice and tight.
Bottom mounts use a tapered Phillips-head bolt that is flush-mounted to prevent the bolts from snagging on obstacles or your bike stand.
Our bike and rider each took some heavy abuse in the EnduroX event, but the Works Connection skid plate and engine guards did their job and will keep on protecting our engine long after Brian's knee gets healed up.
Brian puts the finishing touches on our installation.
As you can see, the skid plate and engine guards are holding up well in the heat of battle.
The rock pile was by far the hardest obstacle on our WC protection.
