KTM dropped information on the production 1290 Super Duke R and the 1190 Adventure with new Motorcycle Stability Control in the months leading up to EICMA. The Austrian marque added a few more names to the list of bikes-to-watch in 2014 once the show commenced in Italy: the RC125 and RC200. The Orange brand also provided more information on the previously noted RC390 (to be used in the 2014 ADAC Junior Cup powered by KTM). Unfortunately the three low-displacement sportbikes don’t appear to be on the roster for sale in the U.S. at the moment.

These new additions to the RC line source the same four-stroke Singles used in the Duke 125, 200 and 390. Each RC comes with a steel trellis frame, 43mm WP front suspension (the same fork tube diameter as the RC8R), WP monoshock rear suspension, Bosch engine management systems, wet multi-disc clutch, and braking systems developed in conjunction with Brembo. The three new RC mounts share the same dimensions and tire size as well: 32.2 inch seat height, 7.02 inches ground clearance and 52.7 inch wheelbase with 110/70 ZR 17 front tires and 150/60 ZR 17 rear tires.

The weight difference between the RC125 and the RC390 is slim 27 pounds (dry). The RC125 comes with ABS standard, and the RC200 lists the same system on the spec sheet as well. The RC390 also comes with ABS, but the system can be disengaged.

KTM asserts the design of these three mounts was conducted in the spirit of offering “full size racing dimensions” to “young sport riders and the young-at-heart.”
