Urge your senators to push this bill though to remove the ban on youth dirt bikes and atvs.
Youth sized ATVs and dirt bikes are still banned. We need your help to continue to build enough pressure to get the ban overturned. It is unlikely that the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will act to approve the Motorcycle Industry Council’s petition to grant regulatory relief. This means we need Congress to act.

Senator Tester (D-MT) has introduced legislation, S. 608 that would stop the ban. Please urge your Senators and Members of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee to support this bill.

ARRA members have responded in huge numbers on this issue already, but it is important that you continue to have your voice heard.

Send a letter to the following decision maker(s):

Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation

U.S. Senate

Ask them to: Please Cosponsor S. 608

Melissa - BAN !!!!!  May 8, 2009 04:49 AM
I have found a sport my kids love and enjoy! A sport that several boys, and girls love. When this ban happen I do not feel that they thought about how many kids this would affect. Just another sport to keep kids out of trouble, off the streets, the drugs. Lots of parents would take the time being with there children enjoying this sport, Just like Basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, etc. Since when does any parent see there children putting there mouth on there bikes. These parents are not going to just turn there kids loose on a dirt bike, four wheelers, having this kind of item several parents are watching there kids while riding. Kind of like a recall on a automobile. Are they going to be the ones who are going to make all of these changes at no coast to the parents? What about the Pencil at school. Something used on a daily bases! I could see more children putting a pencil into there mouth, Is the schools a babysitter or are they there to learn? Maybe the congress should think more about these things! Thanks yo Congress for taking a sport that several kids love, what are you going to do with kids getting into more trouble the drinking, drugs, how can you stop them from that? Maybe they should think again about how it is going to affect others..... Thanks for everything maybe you should be the one to explain to our kids why the can't do this!
Tenny Manner - Atv Ban  April 1, 2009 12:40 AM
Some kids has music. Some kids has art. Some kids has sports. Some kids has boys or girl scouts. Mine has Motorcross. This is the best thing happen to me in my life. All our girls learn how to ride at a young age they are safe riders and teach the younger one there knowledge. this is a fun and safe sport if you don't abuse it like the every thing else. But hunting and trap shooting and other sports that require dangerous items should be ban too. What about cart racing? isn't cart racing the breeding grounds for NASCAR? Ban this too. What about snow mobile? Jet ski? Pencil in school? Fishing? Yes fishing has lead too. Sinkers ect.. so anyway there is alot more things that our Congress can go after and ban. Spiked soccer shoes ect.. But the one thing that keep my kids from being into trouble is banned. Maybe our Congress people that pass the bill doesn't mind having under age drinking, teen pregnace, soliciting, tresspasing and other thing that might ormight not affect our youth of today. But if we all are told what to do or what to say by banning thing that meen somthing to some people not all but some then you (congess )should pay kids bail, college, my bills and ever other person bike bill that is out there. If we can't let our kids ride or buy parts souldn't congress pay for the balance of all of the loans that is outstanding/ballance on ones bill due to Congess Banning the sale of our items. Congress should Buy all of our mini quads and other bikes that was banned . Because of them (congress) we have no use for them. Thank you Congress for looking out for us because we the people (motorcrossers) are not knowledgble enough to know what is right for our kids.THANKS CONGRESS....................................................
