Moto Guzzi is rumored to be looking at producing a 1600cc cruiser to go head to head against Harley-Davidson. The bike, which will have the ‘Californian’ name on it, will have to drop the four valve head and return to two, due to the increase in capacity. It is expected that Miguel Galuzzi who designed the Ducati Monster will be the designer of this new model, which is still several years away from production. (If true, MG will be aiming at the same piece of the H-D pie which tempted Triumph to enter the mid-sized cruiser market with its Triumph Thunderbird - ed.)
