Hesketh Motorcycles Now Scooters

With the original Hesketh on the brink of death, the new electric scooter brand will carry the name in to the future.
We mentioned
some time ago that what remains of the
Hesketh Motorcycle concern was up for sale as a going concern. Founded by Lord Hesketh years ago it has soldiered on hand-building V1000 air-cooled Twins to order for a number of years. Its owner and driving force, Mick Broom, has recently been unsuccessful in selling the company as a going concern, so is retiring with the company still under his control.
However, in a bizarre twist of fate the name will move to more prominence in the current market as an eco scooter manufacturer thanks to a man called Paul Hesketh.
Totally unconnected with the aristocrat who founded the motorcycle concern, the Manchester-based entrepreneur decided to capitalize on the name for his range of electric scooters aimed at affluent commuters. These new scooters will be assembled in the UK and there is no conflict between the two parties who will continue to trade independently!
