Yamaha’s 2015 scooter line includes the retro-styled Vino Classic as well as three Zuma models, the 50F, 50FX and 125F. All four models are carry-overs from the previous year and all but color option remains the same in 2015.
The automatic Vino Classic is powered by a 49cc liquid-cooled Single. There are 110mm drum brakes on the front and rear and suspension setup includes a telescopic fork with 2.3 inches travel and a single shock with 2.1 inches travel. Seat height measures 28.2 inches and fuel capacity is 1.2 gallons, with mpg estimated at 110 miles. The Spartan Red colorway replaces the Deep Sea Blue/Vanilla White of 2014 and the MSRP remains steady at $2290.
For a more contemporary style, the Zuma 50F and 50FX offer wider tires than the Vino Classic, 180mm wave discs on the front end and a more aggressive, angular stance. The 50F retains a dual headlight configuration and the 50FX comes with a more streamlined single headlight. Both are powered by the same 49cc mill found in the Vino Classic and both are full twist-and-go automatics. Seat height is higher than the Vino, at 30.7 inches for both the 50F and 50FX.
Fuel capacity is also 1.2 gallons but Yamaha estimates the little Zumas to reach 132 mpg. Price for the 2015 Zuma 50F and 50FX starts at $2590, with the 50F available in either Dark Metallic Green or Matte Titan and the 50FX coming in Team Yamaha Blue/White or Alpine White/Heat Red colorways.
The Zuma 125 carries the same look as the 50F, with dual headlights prominently staring out at the world. It’s a little longer, taller and wider than the 50s, and has more pep thanks to the 125cc air-cooled Single. Color options include Stardust Silver or Competition Silver/Heat Red. MSRP is set at $3390.
