One prior review, from 2010, was very positive. Things have REALLY changed. This shop has a well deserved reputation for poor work, very slow--at best--service, and treating customers well worse than poorly. Have had 3 experiences with them, 2 very marginal and one awful. The third will be the last. Their best mechanic has left for a much better job. Their work is spotty, at best. Simple things they can handle, like annual fluid changes, etc. When it comes to an actual repair they are as slow as glacier movement, and very unreliable. They miss such things as bad transmission bearings, a battery beyond it service life, failed instrument lights. Took 6 weeks to determine a transmission fluid drip was from being overfilled, not a seal problem. 8 months is not long enough to replace a fuel system part, a part that took over 6 month, apparently, to obtain. They do NOT communicate with customers about progress, or lack thereof, on a repair. The Omaha area does NOT have a reliable BMW service center. Dave Bak in Sioux City can handle some things, but has a spotty reputation. Engles, in K.C., has an equally spotty reputation. The closest trustworthy shop is Gina's in Iowa City, which is truely a 5 Star place. Patronize BMW Motorcycles of Omaha at your own peril, but do NOT expect the service or attitude described from 2010

On 8-2-10 my 2007 R1200RT had a vibration and sound that indicated I had a problem in my drive train. I stopped at the Mound city exit in Missouri. On Tues. 8-3-10 at 9:30 AM I dropped my RT off at the Omaha BMW motorcycle dealership. I explained I was on a trip of approx. 21 days and this was day three. At approx. 11:30AM they contacted me and advised it was my drive shaft and they would order the new part and have it air freighted in. The next morning at 11:30AM they contacted me and advised they had my motorcycle ready. 26 hours and I was ready to travel. I was ecstatic. I would like like to thank BMW of Omaha for there rapid response to my problem. You guys are great. Thanks, M. Mantel
