JGR/Yamaha’s Josh Grant crashed hard yesterday during practice for this weekend’s Supercross kick-off. It’s unknown if he will race Saturday.
This just in: Joe Gibbs Racing/Yamaha pilot and last year’s Anaheim 1 winner,
Josh Grant, has injured himself while practicing for the start of the 2010 Monster Energy
Supercross season held at Angel’s stadium in Anaheim, California. The accident occurred at a private racetrack near Temecula, California.
It’s said that Grant was blasting through a whoop section when he lost control of his 2010
Yamaha YZ450F sending him to the ground. His injuries have been limited to a broken nose and a banged up body. It’s unclear if he’ll be fit to race in three days time, but he is slated to attend Thursday’s press conference at Angel’s stadium.
Over the years, Grant has proven to be tough competitor continuing to race while injured. Most recently he attempted to finish the 2009 outdoor season after breaking his ankle at X Games 15. More information as it becomes available.
