Learn from greatest supercross rider around at Daytona.
The Daytona Supercross is one of the most recognizable races of the series. Known for its uncharacteristically long, rough layout, this sandy SX has long been associated with greats like Ricky Carmichael. The pros take to Daytona International Speedway’s infield on March 6, but after some tractor work to tone it down a bit, amateur riders will get a shot for the next two days with new programs featuring the Goat himself - the
Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur
Supercross Championship and Ricky Carmichael University.
"I'm super pumped to be involved with this," said five-time Daytona winner, Carmichael. "I feel like Daytona is one of my racing homes, and to be able to give back to the sport like this will be awesome. You never forget your roots. For the riders, this is an amazing opportunity to race on the Daytona track. I'm really looking forward to sharing my knowledge with them."

Sign up today and don't miss your chance to race, learn and meet Ricky Carmichael.
MX Sports is handling the operations side using their decades of experience hosting the
Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship. There’s no pre-qualification process for the Amateur Supercross and the event will be run March 7th like a regular professional SX with heat races, LCQs and main events for 25 different classes from 50cc to seniors. Go to

Following the race, riders will have another chance to hang with Ricky on March 8 and glean a few of his championship-winning riding tips with a day camp similar to the
GNCC University event held last year
"This is an unprecedented opportunity for amateur racers to ride at Daytona International Speedway," said Tim Cotter, director of MX Sports. "Every horsepower buff knows what Daytona stands for. It is the heartbeat of the racing universe, and now amateur riders will have the opportunity to race on these storied grounds and learn from the Greatest of All-Time."
