Supercross
Yamaha’s Josh Hill topped all comers during a shortened practice session in Seattle. Hill turned a 58.044-second lap on the last lap of the session, knocking veteran Kevin Windham off the top of the tower. Windham’s fellow Honda rider Davi Millsaps was third-quickest with a 58.535. Chad Reed was three-hundredths behind Millsaps while Tommy Hahn cracked the top-five.

Can Josh hill back up his fast practice times and grab his first win of the year?
Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey did not look comfortable or focused on the chewed-up track. The unofficial Supercross champ turned the sixth-fastest lap with a 59.635. Is he going to sit back tonight and play it safe? If his practice performance is any indication, it looks like we might have a new rider grabbing the win tonight. Last week’s third-place finisher, Andrew Short, was seventh and the first rider with a time over one minute. Kyle Chisholm, Justin Brayton and Nick Wey fill out the top-10, in that order.

Ruts will be the main factor in Seattle. This is the landing of a tirple after a single 12-minute practice.
Ruts. This one word describes the track inside Qwest Stadium. The overnight rain and the soft, sandy Washington soil combined to create the nastiest track of the season. After just a couple laps of practice the faces of the jumps looked like a full 20 laps of the Supercross main event had been run. Tonight the fittest, toughest riders will rise to the top. The West Coast Lites championship is still on the line; expect to see Canard push it to gain points on Weimer. Dungey on the other hand will probably cruise through tonight on his way to his first Supercross Championship. Stay tuned for all the action on MotoUSA!
