Limited 2010 Can-Am Spyder Recall

With the sucess of the Spyder  it was only a matter of time till Can-Am adressed the demands of the touring crowd.
A recall has been issued by Bombardier for its 2010 Can-Am Spyder RT for a potential problem in the ignition switch harness.
Bombardier Recreational Products has issued a recall for its three-wheeled 2010 Can-Am Spyder Roadster Touring (RT) SE5 and SM5 models due to a problem with the ignition switch harness.

The report released from the NHTSA states: "The connector on the key switch harness may not be locked and the ignition switch harness may be routed too tight. In some situations, the connector may unplug."

The recall affects approximately 108 units and is expected to begin around December 18, 2009. Authorized dealers will inspect and correct, if needed, free of charge.

Spyder RT owners will be notified by BRP or may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.Safercar.gov.
