When the 2010
AMA Pro Road Racing schedule was release in November, Laguna Seca and Miller Motorsports Park were noticeable absences. Now at least Laguna Seca is back on the docket, with a press release from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca announcing three AMA classes will compete at the 2010 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix during July 23-25.

Mat Mladin won't be around, presumably, but AMA Pro Road Racing will be back at Laguna Seca for 2010 as the undercard of the 2010 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.
The return to Laguna Seca marks the sixth consecutive time
MotoGP and AMA’s roadracing series have shared the stage, with the USGP returning to the California circuit in 2006. The three AMA classes slated to run at Laguna include Daytona SportBike and American Superbike, as well as the SuperSport support class. The Laguna round will be the seventh of the 2010 season, following, by one week, Mid-Ohio, and preceding the VIR round by three weeks.
News of the Laguna Seca return to the 2010 schedule comes after December 30th announcement that AMA Pro Racing CEO and President Roger Edmondson, will leave his position due to health problems (
Roger Edmondson to Leave AMA Racing).
David Atlas, who has taken over Edmondson’s duties at AMA Pro Racing said in the release: "We are delighted to be returning to Monterey with the MotoGP World Championship Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix. Our sport has a long standing history at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway and we are pleased to again be a part of this important international event for motorcycle racing."
Tickets for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix are available by phone at (800) 327-7322 or through the
Mazda Raceway website.
