Rockwall Performance Yamaha’s J.D. Beach converted his pole position into a runaway victory in Race 1 of the AMA SuperSport contest at Mid-Ohio, crossing the line a dominating 20.126-seconds ahead of Cameron Beaubier. Beach shot out to the lead and never looked back in scoring the wire-to-wire victory. The young Yamaha rider has won four of the last five races and sits comfortably atop the AMA SuperSport standings with 171 points. His margin of victory today was a record for the SuperSport class.

Beaubier made it a Rockwall Performance 1-2 after crossing the line second. The Yamaha rider had to work hard early on, powering his way into the second slot on Lap 6 and then never relinquishing the position. Beaubier remains second in the SuperSport point standings as well.

Dustin Dominquez worked his way up from his seventh-place starting position to grab the final spot on the podium. The Kawasaki rider was able to gain a little separation from the five-rider pack jousting for the middle positions to comfortably cross the line in third.

Cameron Beaubier #16 took second-place in Race 1 a full 20.126 seconds behind Beach.

Joey Pascarella and his Yamaha R6 battled with Elena Myers on her Suzuki for much of the contest, with Pascarella gaining the advantage to grab the seventh position, relegating Myers to the eighth slot.
