Most of the time we didn't need a burnout, as the track was fully prepped for us. Still, it's fun in a masochistically juvenile sense.
Duke got the chance to ride a lowered ZX-14 at the strip. Uncorked with a Muzzys pipe and fuel-injection tuning, Duke was able to click off a 9.57-second run with ease.
The ZX-14 proved to be impressively stable at an indicated 180 mph, as its sculpted bodywork helps it scythe through the wind.

This shot shows a perfect launch, with the front tire just hovering over the 'strip's surface.
Relatively comfy ergos and a potent yet ultra-smooth engine make the ZX-14 a terrific GT bike. All it needs is a taller windscreen.
About as controversial looking as the Hayabusa, the ZX-14 proves to be a worthy competitor in the ultra-speed category.
