FIM E-Power TTX Laguna Seca Qualifying 2011

Qualifying for Sunday’s combined FIM E-Power and TTX Championship electric motorcycle race got underway this afternoon at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway and it was veteran AMA road racer Steve Rapp who came out on top aboard the Mission Motors entry. Rapp set a fast lap of 1’31.376 which was over six seconds faster than the next fastest qualifier. That lap time could have landed him a top-10 result in the AMA Supersport class. The Brammo entry ridden by Steve Atlas finished in fifth spot which was surprising considering the dominant performance they put in at Infineon back in May.
