Alessandro Brannetti (top) and Shelina Moreda (bottom) prepare for the TTXGP electric superbike race at Laguna Seca.
The first joint race of FIM e-Power and TTXGP with the unique Italian team CRP Racing is ended.
Alessandro Brannetti and its eCRP1.4 finish fifth, but with the fourth fastest lap (1.40.193), and passes his first competitor, Himmelmann (Muench Racing), with whom he is fighting for the head of both FIM e-Power and TTXGP Eu Championships. An incredible result for a motorbike with 130hp less than first four motorbikes, and even less than Muench Racing Team. This fifth place that worth a victory does justice to Alessandro and CRP Racing team professionalism, in a championship and a market just born and continuously improving, waiting for the day when more participants will allow more classes suiting different motorbikes power, as it is for "petrol sisters".
A great performance for the second CRP racer too, Shelina Moreda, Californian, who finishes 8th with lap times faster than her own qualifying ones. In 2 days only Shelina got faster and faster even 8seconds less. This demonstrating how fast she is improving learning to ride her eCRP1.4. An amazing weekend thanks to her fantastic charisma and great professionalism! We do all hope to see her on a eCRP1.4 as soon as possible!
The eCRP went to America, at Laguna Seca for the first joint race of the electric championships. After the great celebration of the parade of Friday July 22 with the Californian rider Shelina Moreda, who was on track with the eCRP together with the other contenders, the Italian team CRP Racing is pleased and satisfied with the good experience they made in America. Brannetti got the opportunity to meet his mates and friends of the
MotoGP who supported him during the race.
With the round at Mazda Raceway, the technical chief of CRP Racing was able to collect interesting data and other information that come out under race conditions. It's no more a secret that the Italian manufacturer is working on track to collect significant know-how to transfert to the development of the electric street motorbike that will be presented in
November at EICMA in Milan.
Off the spotlight on the great racing event at Laguna Seca, the team will return to Italy, to use the information gathered this weekend.
