2010 MX2 Champion Marvin Musquin seriously jeopardized his chances of being able to compete in the 2011
AMA Supercross series. The Frenchman suffered a nasty right knee injury on Saturday while competing at Paris Bercy Supercross. Currently signed with Red Bull
KTM, Musquin has plans to compete in the upcoming Supercross season, but as of now his participation in questionable. Here’s more on the incident from KTM’s official press release:
The reigning 2010 MX2 champion had to retire from the challenging event during Saturdays racing when he put his leg down hard in the heat of the battle and injured his right knee.
Marvin's doctors in France are currently assessing the injury and more will be known when the swelling goes down and he is able to undergo an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan. This is scheduled for some time at the end of the week. Meanwhile Marvin is recovering at home in France and more should be known about the extent of the injury after the scan.
