Jake Weimer will have to wait to take a shot at the
AMA Supercross class after breaking his arm during SX testing today. Kawasaki broke the news with this tweet, “Jake Weimer suffered a broken arm while preparing for the SX season. We all wish Jake a fast recovery and can't wait for his SX class debut.”
Weimer is coming off the 2010 West Coast Supercross Lites championship and was one of the hottest riders to watch as the series comes to Angel Stadium for Anaheim 1 on January 8. His Monster Energy
Kawasaki KX450F will not be on the starting line, but the squad has another rider who is at the top of everyone’s minds.
Ryan Villopoto will hold down the fort for the factory green squad, but we’ll have to wait and see if he gets a replacement rider. Kawi was quick to fill vacant seats in 2010.
Currently there are mixed reports about surgery and the subsequent recovery or return to racing.
